Minya University became independent from Assiut University by Republican Decree No. 93 of 1976. The university campus is located north of the city of Minya. The university’s motto is Ras Nefertiti. Minya University now includes 20 colleges in addition to the Higher Nursing Institute, including four colleges outside the campus, which are Arts - Dentistry - Engineering - Medicine The veterinarian and 16 faculties on campus are: Education - Agriculture - Science - House of Science - Medicine - Fine Arts - Tourism and Hotels - Physical Education for Boys and Girls - Al-Alsun - Nursing - Pharmacy - Specific Education - Computers and Information - Kindergarten College - College of Art Education - Rights.
