Mansoura University was founded in 1972.
The study began at the Faculty of Medicine in 1962 as a branch of Cairo University, then East Delta University was established by Law No. 49 of 1972 and the name was modified to Mansoura University in 1973. It includes:
Faculties of medicine - dentistry - pharmacy - engineering - agriculture - commerce - law - science - education - specific education - arts - computers and information - nursing - veterinary medicine - physical education - early childhood education - tourism and hotels - fine arts and some service units such as public administration To take care of students with their playgrounds and facilities, university cities and others for female students and most units of a special nature that serve the university and the community, in addition to the spaces occupied by university faculties located outside the university’s scope, such as the Kindergarten College located on Ahmed Maher Street and the Faculty of Specific Education in Mansoura and its two branches in the cities of Mit Ghamr and Minya Al-Nasr and the Faculty of Tourism and hotels.
There is a huge student services complex on campus for students, a social club, a cultural library, a modern kitchen for university staff and faculty, as well as a modern student hospital.
