Thus, students can resort to the dictionary to verify the pronunciation of any word as long as the desired link occurs between the symbol shape and the sound it represents. Course content: - Presenting the problem of pronouncing English words by explaining how most of the spelling symbols in this language represent more than one phoneme each. - The mechanism for producing sounds in general, and the sounds of language in particular when applying this mechanism to human speaking systems. Study terms that help describe each phoneme in the phoneme system used in the English language and link the visual symbol in the phonemic alphabet with the phonological investigation of this symbol. Studying the Consonants in the English language with a focus on phonemic units that represent difficulties in pronouncing them for the Arab student in general and the Egyptian in particular because they are not among the phonemic systems used in the Arabic dialects. And the expansion in the use of anagrams and Minimal pairs contributes to the importance of distinguishing between the sounds of each unit of these phonemic units. Otherwise, the error would result in pronouncing another word in a meaning other than what the speaker intended. Study the vowel sounds used in the English language and explain that the problem in this regard is that the English language uses five vowels to express twenty five vowel phonemes. Intensifying language exercises on transcription in order to stabilize students' awareness of the slight differences between each phoneme and the last close to it, and until a strong link is found in the student's mind between the shape of the symbol and the sound expressed by this symbol, making it easier for them to use the dictionary in detection For the correct pronunciation of words. 2- Rules (1): Course objectives: This course aims to verify that first-year students can now use the grammar of the English language that they previously studied in the pre-higher education stages. This verification is accomplished by reviewing selected rules based on the needs of the students. Therefore, the course content should change according to the changing needs of students of each new class.
