Vision
The Institute of Aviation Engineering and Technology aspires to achieve leadership, distinction, and occupy a prominent position locally and regionally in the fields of engineering and aviation technology in education, learning and community service.
the message
The Institute of Aeronautical Engineering and Technology seeks to prepare graduates who are cognitively and skillfully qualified and make them able to compete locally and regionally to keep pace with the needs of the labor market and scientific and technological developments, thus providing them with job opportunities, serving the community and meeting its requirements while ensuring the uplift of values
History of the Institute
Due to the continuous and continuous development in the fields of engineering and aviation technology, which has kept pace with the development of the electronics and computers industry and the use of satellites in navigation and air communication, it was necessary to develop educational curricula and programs to keep pace with this development in order to graduate qualified engineering cadres in these fields. In order to achieve this, the Institute of Aviation Engineering and Technology concluded a cooperation agreement with the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University, for the purpose of developing academic regulations, participating in teaching them, and supervising the educational process and examinations. The agreement was signed on 10/12/1997.
The study began according to the new academic regulations and in light of this agreement in the academic year 1997/1998, with two scientific sections:
Aviation Engineering
Electronics and Communication Engineering
In the year 2000, the institute’s administration submitted to the Ministry of Higher Education a request to place the institute under its supervision. Ministerial Resolution No. 925 of 2000 was issued to place the Institute of Aviation Engineering and Technology under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education. Admission of students became through the Office for Coordination of Admission for Universities and Institutes as of the academic year 2000 / 2001. The first batch of the departments of aviation engineering and electronics and communications engineering was graduated in May 2002. Ministerial Resolution No. 53 of 2002 was issued by the Supreme Council of Universities to equalize the certificate granted by the institute with a bachelor’s degree awarded by Egyptian universities, and the graduates are registered as members of the Egyptian Engineers Syndicate. The Ministerial Decree was issued by Prof. Dr. the Minister of Higher Education and State for Scientific Research No. 715 of 2003 establishing two departments:
civil engineering
architecture
And they were included in the guide of the Office for the Coordination of Admissions for Universities and Higher Institutes, and the study began in the Institute as of the academic year 2003/2004.
Electrical power and machinery engineering
Mechanical engineering
Then, after the January 25 revolution, the institute's affiliation was transferred from the Ministry of Civil Aviation to the Ministry of Higher Education, according to the decisions of the Minister of Higher Education and State for Scientific Research, numbers 978, 1030 of 2011.
