British Ambassador to Cairo: Education is the key to the future for Egypt

The British Ambassador to Cairo, John Casson, said that education is the key to Egypt's future, adding in his speech during the launch of Malvern Egypt College that Britain leads the world in this field.

The British ambassador explained: "Today we are launching a new international school with British roots and an Egyptian future, the latest in a long series of British investments in Egypt's greatest resource ever, represented in its youth."

The college is scheduled to open in 2016, and it is the first time that a British higher college has opened an international branch in Egypt.

The celebration was attended by Prince Michael, Prince of Kent, cousin of Queen Elizabeth II, former British Prime Minister, Tony Blair, members of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Egypt in the British Parliament, and some of the best British talents in acting and singing, including actress Liz Hurley and singer Gabriel, to revive Entertainment in the evening.

The event was organized by Dr. Khaled Azazy, Chairman and CEO of Azazy International Group, which operates a number of independent schools in Egypt and Future University in Egypt.
