Cairo University and Purdue University in the United States of America discussed enhancing scientific and research cooperation between the two universities, within the framework of Cairo University’s direction to make partnerships and double academic degrees with advanced international universities in global rankings in preparation for the start of studies at Cairo International University in 6th of October City and to contribute to Implementing the directives of the political leadership to bring about a global shift for Egyptian universities.

Dr. Mohamed Othman Elkhosht, President of Cairo University, said that aspects of cooperation with Purdue University, which is ranked 116th in the English QS classification, include many aspects, the most important of which is the establishment of double and joint scientific degrees in many disciplines, including pharmacy and engineering, and the exchange of students and professors, Conducting joint research, developing study regulations in all disciplines, which contribute to supporting the educational and research process, enhancing cooperation with the business community, and qualifying students to join the labor market.
Dr. Mohamed El-Khasht stressed that the international branch of Cairo University contributes to the transition towards globalization and the granting of joint degrees and certificates, through its reliance on scientific and academic programs for the undergraduate and postgraduate levels based on partnership with internationally reputable universities, pointing out that the philosophy of Cairo University aims to move towards Fourth generation universities by creating a new and integrated academic entity based on partnership with international universities with global weight.
Dr. Mohamed Al-Attar, Vice President of Cairo University for Graduate Studies, explained the university’s keenness to complete the preparation of the programs that will start studying at the International University in order to comply with the requirements of the local and international labor market, fill the knowledge gap, meet the functional need in Egyptian national projects, and present a graduate with international specifications that contributes In achieving Egypt's vision of sustainable development.
